The Perfect Engagement Outfit

The Perfect Engagement Outfit

Hunting for the perfect engagement outfit, or two, or three? This beautiful engagement shoot features 5 fashion friendly outfits that you might just fall in love with.

For her engagement shoot Amanda chose all Free People pieces to work with. Bringing only a few pairs of shoes, easy slips, and dresses to mix and match. All these easy transitions ensured she'd have a smooth, no fuss day with plenty of outfit choices. To keep it simple, they made sure Sean wore a neutral palette that would compliment all of Amanda's outfits. See all the looks in detail in the full gallery here, captured by Hurtienne Photography.

Engagement Outfit Ideas

Amanda left a few pieces the same throughout the shoot including a Terracotta Lace Halter Bra and her usual jewelry finds- a studded bangle, a few midi rings and a low maintenance nude manicure. Both Amanda and Sean's outfits pull the same color story, making a perfect match without the "matchy matchy" element.

Second look: This look brought in some casual combat boots to pair with a high low gauze dress (above, in first image). By pairing her light and airy dress with a more rugged Steve Madden Troopa boot, Amanda's outfit has a cool and effortless edge. Sean opted for a long sleeve Henley, and added a boutonniere to bring their look together.

Third look: This lilac Tattered Up Shred Slip made for an easy quick change. Amanda sticks to earth tones in her day to day wardrobe and makeup, so adding a gem color to her lips was a great change for her.

Steal Amanda's Look

Fourth look: Simple chic is the name of Amanda's game. Popping Free People's Ruffle Tunic right on top of the Tattered Up Shred Slip and changing into a Sam Edelman ankle boot made you look twice at the slip you just saw peeking out from underneath. The light chiffon ruffles were a perfect choice to equate with the river backdrop.

Last look: Ending the day on a serious high note. In this jaw dropping Free People Exclusive, Amanda wasn't shy about showing it off (below, last image). The Goth meets flower goddess dress was bought a few years ago on an impulse. When putting together looks for these photos, we knew no matter how extravagant, we would make this dress work. What a perfect way to show it off in the first of many monumental photos for this couple.
