Oh so elegant...that's how I would describe Honor and David's beautiful big day.

The lovely pair were lucky enough to marry at an idyllic church close to Honor's parents home. They then held their reception back at the house in a marquee, in the rather stunning walled garden.

For a sunny summer wedding I don't think you can beat a sage green and pale pink colour combination - Honor's Bridesmaids look particularly gorgeous in their green gowns made the Mother of the Bride and the rose-toned floral centrepieces in the marquee just look so pretty.

Honor looks divine in her structured Jesus Peiro gown and I love that she has softened the look with a billowing veil by Stewart Parvin.

All of this wedding loveliness has been captured by RMW regular, Especially Amy. Whose weddings are always ridiculously pretty...as you'll see.

Honor the Bride:We got married in early May at my family home in Kempsey, Worcestershire. Fortunately, deciding on a venue was a simple matter since my parents' house is less than a mile from the pretty parish church of St Mary the Virgin and has a stunning walled garden that we believed would lend itself perfectly to a marquee reception. As the eldest and the first to get married of four girls, tying the knot at home enabled my entire family to participate and revel in the excitement and build up to the big day.

We wanted a traditional wedding in a relaxed setting, featuring a touch of elegance mixed in with a bit of rustic charm to complement our 'at home' setting. Determining the style of our day was very much an evolutionary process. I used Pinterest, wedding magazines and various blogs (among them RMW) to gather inspiration, pulling together my favorite ideas into a mood board that I could share with the likes of the florist and stationers to help give them a sense of what we were going for.

We chose sage green (to reflect our garden theme) and off-white (for all things bridal) as our colour scheme, mixed in with some pink tones and rustic browns. These colours were sprinkled throughout our day, from the wedding stationery to the bridesmaids dresses, marquee decor, church flowers, bouquets, buttonholes and table arrangements.

I found my wedding dress at a beautiful bridal boutique called The White Room, hidden away in the picturesque village of Minchinhampton. Choosing my dress was my favorite part of the whole planning process - no doubt helped by the fact that the village café across the road from the boutique made the most delicious homemade cakes which we made a habit of frequenting after fittings! I wore a duchess satin Jesus Peiro gown paired with a grosgrain belt and floor length veil designed by Stewart Parvin and satin court shoes with a mother of pearl heel by Freya Rose. For the evening I opted to adjust my look slightly in favour of a glitzier belt and Jesus Peiro angora bolero. In keeping with the simplicity of my dress, I wore minimal jewellery and opted for natural makeup, with my hair in a classical soft up-do.

With my sisters making up three fifths of my bridesmaids, deciding on their dresses was always going to prove challenging (they are not adverse to sharing their opinions)! My extremely talented mum, Barbara, faced the challenge head on by making the dresses herself. Inspired by my look, the girls wore an A-line cut silk crêpe de Chine sage green knee length dress twinned with blush pink pearlescent kitten heels and a cream pashmina.

David went with a classic look, wearing a traditional morning suit with a double-breasted cream Favourbrook waistcoat with grey piping and a silk woven black pickwick tie. Our best man and six ushers matched his overall look wearing a double-breasted waistcoat of their choice with a burgundy version of the pickwick tie. They all looked rather dashing!

The church service started at 3pm. For the two of us, this was the most memorable part of the day. The service felt relaxed and fun (there was laughter) with an air of formality becoming of such an occasion. We had two readings, 1 Corinthians 13: 1-13 read by David's brother, Edward, and an Irish blessing read by my sister, Phoebe, which featured between our chosen hymns 'Dear Lord & Father of Mankind', 'I Vow To Thee My Country' and a resounding rendition of 'Jerusalem' to finish. During the signing of the register, a talented family friend and student at the Royal Academy of Music, William Diggle, sang two beautiful classical pieces, Handel's 'Where'er You Walk' followed by Vaughan Williams' 'Silent Noon.'

We exited the church to bells and showers of confetti before departing in a gorgeous vintage cream Morris Minor, kindly lent to us by close family friends. It was adorned with ribbons, decorated tin cans (made by my hens on my hen do) and a homemade 'Just Married' sign. Our departure provided a comical moment for our guests as my new husband struggled to start the car and subsequently drove down the road and took a wrong turn!

The walled garden offered a beautiful setting for our marquee reception. We opted for a clear span marquee as it was practical for the space we had to work in, but jazzed it up with three front facing pagodas to create a turreted effect on approach - these were beautifully illuminated in the evening. We decorated the marquee with a mix of furniture from around the house as well as a few wedding inspired DIY projects of our own - a personal favourite was our rustic bar, built using wood from an old fence at the house. With our wedding being in Worcestershire, home of Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce, we decided it would be novel to give away a bottle to each of our guests as a wedding favour.

Aubrey Allen kindly catered our wedding breakfast - their food was delicious! We served chargrilled asparagus with soft boiled quails eggs, Parmesan cheese and truffle oil to start, followed by saddle of lamb, Pomme Anna and spring greens for main, finishing up with a trio of miniature lemon tart, panna cotta and mint chocolate pot for dessert. To curb any dancing induced hunger pangs, we served an evening snack of miniature Cornish pasties together with the option of fruit, lemon and chocolate wedding cake, which was beautifully and lovingly made by David's mum, Amanda.

Music featured highly throughout the evening. The talented Lewis Fieldhouse sang during our drinks reception, his acoustic live lounge style was wonderful. After dinner, The Chip Shop Boys, a rock and pop cover band from Cheltenham, got the party started. These guys were fabulous, and got everyone on the dance floor. They were even kind enough to learn our first dance - 'I Wanna Be Like You' from The Jungle Book - putting Robbie Williams and Olly Murs's version to shame. The first dance was probably the only part of the day we were nervous about. Rather than learning a specific dance we decided to go for something more off the cuff. Thankfully, our guests didn't leave us hanging too long before they joined us on the dance floor.

The lovely and beautiful Amy Murrell was our photographer on the day, bringing the perfect mix of talent, professionalism and discreteness into successfully capturing all our special moments. We also hired Gorgeous Films to record our day on film, a personal request having loved watching my own parents' wedding video as a child. Our photographer and videographer had worked together before and as such proved to be a great team on the day, respecting our wish for an unobtrusive presence.

We departed our reception just before 1am to a sparkler send off from our guests. This was a really fun way to finish the evening and created a genuinely special lasting memory of the night. In full acknowledgement of the cliché, I must admit the day was simply magical and one I know we'll never forget. As anyone who has been through, or is in the midst of planning a wedding will tell you, our day would not have been possible without the help and support of our friends and family and for that we'll forever be truly thankful.
