If you love rustic, pretty weddings full of covetable details - then you are going to love this morning's wedding. Alanna and Dane chose to marry in the Cotswolds and held their reception at the idyllic Hyde Barn.

They went with a beautiful pastel pink, pale green and ivory colour scheme. The pair handcrafted the majority of the rustic details for their big day and it was clearly worth it - everything just looks so perfectly presented.

Alanna's girls wore pale pink gowns by RMW favourites, twobirds. The different styles suit each girl perfectly and add a lovely Grecian elegance to proceedings. Alanna herself looks divine in the lace topped 'Samantha' by Sassi Holford. I love her metallic sash too.

It would also seem that the naked cake trend isn't going anywhere. And quite frankly we hope it stays forever! Anything that looks that delicious is fine by us and I know today's example will have you wanting cake for breakfast...

Alanna the Bride:My dress was Samantha by Sassi Holford. I also bought the lace jacket and sash from the same shop - Ellie Sanderson. I wanted my look to be relaxed and natural in line with how we wanted the whole day to be. My shoes were from Jimmy Choo. My husband surprised me with them before the wedding; they are and will always be my favourite pair of shoes.

Danes suit and shoes were from Next, they were such good quality and he felt really comfortable with what he had chosen as nothing was too formal. He also wore his wedding gift from me, an Armani watch that he was so happy with.

Our venue was Hyde Barn in Stow on the Wold. We had looked at about 6 other venues before walking into the barn and immediately fell in love with the look and feel off the place. It was exactly what we had been picturing and knew straight away this was the right one - it was definitely worth the wait.

We were very particular on how we wanted the whole day to look and had a perfect picture in our heads. Pinterest was very helpful as was Rock My Wedding. The main colours were pastel pink, pale green and ivory. We wanted our wedding to be very personal with a rustic vintage theme. We tried to do as much as we could ourselves as possible as this made it so much more personal for us.

This really paid off as on the day it felt so relaxed and people commented on all the little things we did. Every little detail was worth every second - from making all the place names, sourcing all the teacups, the candy buffet and Dane personally making every single wooden placemat.

I wanted a natural look with the flowers and nothing too neat and tidy I wanted them to be colourful and cheerful, so sent our lovely florist Rebecca numerous images of what I liked and was over the moon with how amazing they looked on the day they were even better than I could of imagined.

We had 4 Bridesmaids, 1 page boy and a flower girl. Our page boy was our gorgeous nephew and the flower girl was our close friends beautiful little girl. The Bridesmaids wore dresses from Two Birds. As soon as I saw the dresses I fell in love with them, all the girls felt so comfortable as they could wear them however they wanted, they all looked so beautiful.

The Groomsmen also wore suits from Next which were the same as Danes. He knew the look he was trying to achieve and they all looked so smart together, they were also a nice gift to the Best Man and Groomsmen as they got a lovely suit to keep after.

We asked Danes Dad to do a religious reading for us which he did an amazing job of and was really heartfelt, we also asked my Bridesmaid Lorna to do a reading which she chose herself which was thoughtful, personal and very touching. Both readings meant so much to us and were very overwhelming.

Special moments were definitely the speeches - all of them were so thoughtful and meant so much to us. Also taking the time to go for a walk, just me and Dane, in-between the wedding breakfast and evening reception. Looking around seeing that everyone was there just for us was very overwhelming and made us feel really loved and special as a couple.

During the day we arranged for Krispy crème donuts to be handed out to all of our guests after the church service which people really enjoyed, we also had a lovely candy bar arranged at the venue by my good friend that really fitted in with our vintage/rustic theme, we had a giant Jenga for the kids/adults, dominoes and all of the children had activity bags for the wedding breakfast.

For the evening we had a band called Wolf Bait perform, they really created a great atmosphere and got people in the mood to get up and dance. Every song they did sounded identical to each artist they were impersonating - the music was brilliant.

Even before we were engaged I knew we would have our wedding cake made by Cake Sweet Cake, I have used them for all occasions as their work is always so outstanding.
We soon realised the look and taste of cake we were looking for was going to be the "Naked cake" we were so impressed on the day when we got to see the cake and all of the cupcakes. The cake was so stunning and was even better than we had imagined and tasted absolutely amazing too.

We had originally booked another photographer however it turned out she was pregnant and her baby would be due the week of our wedding so she kindly recommended another lady (who actually photographed her own wedding) so we trusted in her recommendation and Jen was absolutely amazing.

From us feeling optimistic at first she soon made us feel so relaxed and bringing her Mum along with her to the day they both were like part of the family getting involved helping with the bridal prep and capturing some really beautiful images of everyone involved in the wedding. Their help on the day didn't go unnoticed and they were so efficient with getting all the photographs we had requested, all the images were so relaxed nothing to uniformed, so she captured people without them even realising making it very relaxed.

Everyone always tells you how quickly your wedding day goes but you never truly believe them until it's your day. There are so many happy, exciting and beautiful memories the day really does fly by, so make the most of every moment and take the time to have the time just you and your Groom because before you know it its all over.
