Independence Day Wedding Inspiration

Independence Day Wedding Inspiration

The Fourth of July is mere days away, so let's get into the Independence Day spirit with a fun editorial - captured by Starfish Studios - that's perfect for inspiring couples who love red, white, and blue! Angela at The ALTARnative dreamt up this pretty wedding shoot which celebrates our nation's birthday, but is also filled with a ton of unique design elements that could easily translate to an event of any kind. We love that they gave the traditional color palette a creative twist, with rich tones of indigos (and other various shades of blues), accented with burnt and muted reds, and touches of brass, ivory and cream. And since we're admittedly still putting the last minute touches on our own 4th of July bbqs, this playful shoot is thankfully providing us with just the extra inspiration we needed to pull everything together!

A bit more from Angela, While planning for this inspirational shoot, we wanted to design a modern, bohemian, and slightly agrarian take on a classic piece of our American history. Our goal was to show how any bride can take this iconic holiday and turn it into an alternatively stylish event to remember. Because, honestly, what bride isn't into a free fireworks show on her wedding day!

Such a cute bar design, with the big tissue flowers + the indigo-dyed bunting!

And this table contains just the right mix of eats + sweets! Total perfection for partytime snacking!

To give a well deserved nod to our Native American roots, we incorporated naturally shed deer antlers and winter kill skulls, touches of raw hide, and feathers to the florals.

Loving that indigo napkin menu!

Those cakes by Earth and Sugar look beautiful, but you can just tell by looking at them that they taste amazing, too!

So fun, right?! Be sure to check back tomorrow because we are sharing another fun take on a Fourth of July styled event! Big thanks to the talented group of artists below for sharing their creativity with us today!
