Sandy and Martin's wedding was incredible in all respects. Beautiful views of the Tyrol mountains in the Austrian town of Ellmau, the small and picturesque church, and the truly wonderful light combined to make sure it was an absolutely amazing day. Sandy and Martin picked Brenner Alm as their venue for its panoramic views. As you might know, we love scenery here at Fly Away Bride, so when we saw this wedding we were pretty excited. From the groom: "We met at the carnival in Cologne- I was a pirate and she was a black angel. Deciding on a location was easy- we love the Alps! After the region was decided we did some internet research on the internet and one year prior went to visit Austria for a week to choose from several venues. We decided on Brenner Alm for its stunning location and views. A wedding planner was only partly used- to book the band and church music. We wanted a modern Alp-Style vibe to the wedding; wood, nature, rock- not very traditional but rather a modern interpretation. The best decision we made was to get a band and not a DJ: it was worth every penny to have that live atmosphere and interaction with the crowd. The church was truly beautiful and the priest was lovely which made the ceremony so memorable as well. Fo us, the main idea was to follow our hearts- not just in choosing our partner but also in choosing all our wedding vendors. We were so glad we had the courage to cancel service providers on the basis of a hunch we had, which turned out to be right. The most memorable part of the day for me was when Sandy entered the church and walked down the aisle toward to me; what a breathless moment!"
