When we heard about the fun theme the team dreamed up for today's colorful styled shoot, we were intrigued to say the least. They So Loved Events, Allyson Wiley Photography, and PoppyStone Floral Design wanted to merge all the things they love about Northern + Southern California - the rustic-vintage vibe of the rolling hills + sprawling vineyards of NorCal and the cool + casual bohemian feel of the desert-y southland. As dwellers + lovers of California ourselves, we were excited to see where the ladies would take their ideas. And what they created is a beautiful environment, flush with clever DIY details and a unique style that could work in just about any setting, California or not!

From Stacy of They So Loved Events, We let the space help to inspire deign and that certainly involved saturated colors with a heavy emphasis on orange and teal. The centerpiece for the dinner table was a DIY wooden dowel and Styrofoam sculpture that had poppies poking out of just about every opening.
For food and drinks we created a "lemonade pairing bar" where three different types of desserts were paired with three different types of lemonade. Perfect for staying hydrated and happy in the glowing California sun. Although the beautiful food can instantly grab your attention, there's no way you can miss the real showstopper, which is the eight-foot by four-foot custom designed and DIY'ed pegboard backdrop. Over 2,000 hand painted golf tees were used to create this one of a kind piece.
