The Bride Diaries. Kirsty's Engagement Shoot & Tin Wedding Flowers | Whimsical Wonderland Weddings

Afternoon WWWers, this week Kirsty is here to share the results of her gorgeous engagement shoot. I love these relaxed shots by the lake, thanks so much to Sue Kwiatkowska for sharing her imagery with us. I also love the trial run of the wedding tin flowers, so pretty!! XOXO Lou

Hello Brides! Apologies it has been so long since my last post, I've not only been busy planning the wedding but also starting my own business running craft workshops. A lot of our DIY bits for the wedding I'm now running as classes where people can learn how to make their own decorations for home or wedding!

So back to the wedding, less than 6 weeks to go! Where has the time gone, I'm panicking a bit now!!! We've managed to book some excursions for our honeymoon to Cuba, created a detailed itinerary (it's amazing how much pressure it takes off!), had bridesmaid fittings and I have my wedding dress fitting and hair and make-up trial in the coming weeks. Oh and we also found time to complete our PADI open water scuba diving so we can make use of the free dives our hotel offers on our Honeymoon!

A few weeks back, Steve and I ventured to one of our favourite places, Swanbourne Lake in Arundel, for our pre-wedding shoot with our lovely photographer Sue Kwiatkowska. Here are some of the photographs from the shoot:

We're feeling much more relaxed about having our photos taken on the day and I think Steve even enjoyed the pre-wedding shoot more than me, what a natural! We love how these have come out, I can't wait to see the actual wedding photographs already!

As you know from my previous posts, I'm going to be doing the table flowers for the wedding using vintage tins as vases. We've been busy collecting them at car boots as well as plates to make cake stands and finally have enough for all the tables. I had a little practice run on the typhoo tin!:

I'm feeling a bit gloomy now that my time of looking for wedding ideas is coming to an end. It's almost now that there are only a few weeks to go, I'm too scared to look at inspiration in case I find a new idea I want to have at the Wedding and have no time/space/ money to recreate it. Is anyone else in the final lead up and feeling the same? I'm hoping that my new business will keep me in wedding wonderland because there are so many wonderful ideas; I never want to miss out!

Happy Planning!
