My name is Ellie & my biggest love and passion in my life is my beautiful little girl Amelie who is 4 and who constantly amazes & amuses me! A very close Second is my love for art & design which started at the age of 5 when I won a painting competition in our local newspaper!

Working with the most lovely couples who are embarking on an amazing & exciting journey to their big day! I love seeing the photographs (sometimes a year later!) of how our stationery helped set a theme for their special day. I also love the luxury of working from home so I can be flexible around Amelie and be there for her big events!

I started A Bird & A Bee after I couldn't find the style of stationery I wanted for my own wedding in 2008, everything was co-ordinating colours, frills and satin ribbons which just wasn't us! We wanted a relaxed, rustic feel and so I decided to make our own invitations which all our guests complimented us on, and were just want we wanted! After I became a mum I wanted to work from home so decided to jump head first in and launched A Bird & A Bee, it has been a lot of hard work and sleepless night but has definitely all been worth it!

I would advise to have an idea of what kind of stationery you would like (formal, casual, vintage, rustic etc) and then do lots of research on the internet or at wedding shows before choosing your supplier. Ordering a sample is a good idea to get a feel of the quality of print/card stock etc. If you have any questions give the company a call/email and have a chat and see if you feel comfortable with them.
