A self made wedding. The wedding of Dianne and Kenneth is a unique wedding due to the fact that Dianne planned this wedding all by herself. She argues that if you want the day to be exactly as you imagined it, do everything yourself. Dianne did an amazing job with her wedding and to think that this bride did everything herself seems almost impossible to believe. The wedding was photographed by Elaine Otto who captured the day beautifully. The wedding was held at Rusticana and Stationery was done by Hirt and Carter. {I Propose} - Elaborate on how the two of you met or on how the proposal went down.

I met Kenny when I started working at the same restaurant, I remember he still had an interview with me and I did not listen to a word he was saying, that day I new it was love at first sight! The day Kenny proposed was the second best day on my life, the first is obviously the day I stole his last name, he still made flash cards from 1-11 what to do for the day, we had so much fun! Later we got ready to go out for dinner, all of a sudden Kenny disappeared, I waited a while and then our good friend came and surprised me to take me to Kenny. So we drove into the lovely D'aria estate and there Kenny was standing with champagne in his hands, waiting patiently. Like any girl would do, I immediately checked his pockets and the champagne glass to see a ring or a box, but nothing. Kenny and I went for a walk. He said he still have one more gift for me and I have to pick it up underneath the leaves, as I bend down, I notice this little black box. When I turned around to open it Kenny was already on his knee asking me to be his wife.

{Bride & Prejudice} - Express some memorable experiences you had during the planning.

The most memorable experience for me was having to do everything traditionally, from taking the catholic classes a year before the time and getting married in the church. I just loved the feeling! And most definitely the best walks that I had with my dad.

{My Fair Wedding} - Describe an event that you feel was unique or even funny.

I am sure every bride thinks their wedding day was the most beautiful day in their lifes, but this was really one of the most breathtaking days of my life. It's definitely worth the wait. The butterflies I got when I walked down the aisle , I actually can't describe that feeling. I planned our wedding from top to bottom and I would recommend any bride to do that, it's so much fun to choose your own decor and u know the job will be done like u want it to be. We did a very traditional wedding with the Catholic Church and the venue to follow. We had a 1920s theme and a lot of people dressed up for the themed occasion. My colours were blush pink and gold, I was so happy, because all my colours were in for the season, we also had the best photographer that you could find and I still get excited when I see the photos. I just wished the day didn't go by so quickly.

{Don't Tell The Bride} - Reveal something that happened behind the scenes.

The fun part of having a wedding is planning it yourself! I loved it, from the small things to the bigger things! I remember the Friday before the wedding was a terrible rainy day and I was so nervous and hoping that it won't rain on our special day. I went and picked up a couple things for the wedding and had to drop it at the venue at Klapmuts, as I went to the guesthouse 4 hours later I remember I forgot to keep the bouquets with me for the girls, because the church is in parole, I was so upset with myself, phoned Kenny crying about the flowers, he calmed me immediately. My lovely father in law rescued the situation and we had such a laugh about that afterwards.
