The Colour Clash Issue: The Fashion

Morning ladies! Are you ready for the next instalment of our Colour Clash Style Guide? We've looked at the décor and the details over the past two weeks, but today it's all about creating the perfect look for you and your bridesmaids! Our b.team fashion experts Rachel from Luella's Boudoir, Sinclair from Maids to Measure, and Vicky from Victoria Millésime have picked their favourite pieces embracing the Radiant Orchid trend.

With bright colourful statement accessories and a fun, bold bridal style we chose 'Astray for our bridal look, a simple flowing strapless Grecian style by Weloveyu at Luella's Boudoir. The soft silhouette gives a flattering shape, with luxurious ruching details to the bodice add contemporary style. Vicky designed a bespoke bejewelled necklace using brightly coloured vintage brooches in rich berry colours which add a nostalgic touch to an otherwise modern look. Creating something new out of something old is the perfect way to treasure old jewellery from loved ones, especially those who might not be there to celebrate your day.

We decided to have some fun with the bridesmaid's look and picked a radiant orchid colour which worked perfectly with our other jewel tones. The clean, sleek silhouette keeps the look grown up and elegant, with the sweeping cowl back adding a touch of glamour. With such a bold dress, Vicky kept the accessories simple, choosing two organza hairpins to add colour to her glamorous side-swept hairstyle.

Don't be scared of colour - used properly it can add real wow-factor to your day! A statement necklace or headpiece is the perfect way to make a statement with your bridal look, and if you're not quite brave enough to wear it all day then how about adding it to your evening look for added impact? You can definitely have fun with your bridesmaids look too - colourful dresses are so youthful and fresh! Just imagine a parade of radiant 0rchid beauties walking down the aisle announcing your arrival, now that would create a stir!

This afternoon our beauty expert Ana Ospina shows us how to recreate each makeup look, joined by hair stylist Kasia Fortuna who explains the hairstyles used too! Pop back after 2pm.
