Wedding Dress Trend: Sleeves

Wedding Dress Trend: Sleeves

via

I. Love. Sleeves. There, I've said it. Of all the wedding dress trends currently filtering in and out of ceremonies and receptions everywhere, this sleeved one is my favorite. Possibly because I'm not quite brave enough for a statement back, but mostly because sleeves on a wedding gown feel classic, romantic and are ideal for weddings in any season. I don't even have a preference for length - long sleeves evoke thoughts of Kate Middleton, Grace Kelly and, more recently, Kelly Clarkson's swoonworthy gowns, while cap and flutter sleeves, can be sweet, traditional or contemporary in turn. But let's not get too caught up in who wore what, because have I mentioned that dresses, galore, right here? Let's take a look.

First, is it possible for BHDLN make a wedding dress that isn't gorgeous? I don't think so. Evidence here.

The delicate, feminine details on these gowns from Claire Pettibone's Decoupage collection are to die for - and sleeves are the perfect finishing touch.

I love the look of J. Crew's wedding gowns. The two below are a wonderful blend of contemporary style and bridal sweetness.

Oh, Jenny Packham. Beading plus sleeves equals a dress worth dreaming about.

What do you think of these dresses from Temperley London? I love the soft structure and lace details.

Last, but not least, Watters. This gown is vintage romance in a nutshell - and absolutely breathtaking.

Which wedding dress details are you loving right now? If I could go back in time, I'd buy a wedding gown with sleeves in a heartbeat.
