Sequin Table Linens and So Much More!!

Ladies, stop whatever you're doing, sit down and take a deep breath, because I've got someexciting supplier new to share this morning! Since the introduction of Pinterest to the UK wedding scene around 3 years ago there's literally been just one question on every bride (and wedding stylists!) lips. Where can I get those gorgeous sparkly sequinned tablecloths? You know, the ones that are are top of your wedding lust list but cost a fortune to ship over from the States (let alone the return fees!). Well, today you are just going to love me as I have found our saviour in the shape of Gilded Linens, a dedicated supplier of luxury event linens in the UK, including those sparkly ones you've all been dreaming about! And it's not just sparkly ones either, clever entrepreneur Bee has added pretty petals, sequin chevrons and romantic rosette designs to the Gilded Collection too, all available to buy and hire throughout the UK. And from what I've heard, that's just for starters... read on to find out more from the lady herself!

How did your business come about?
The business kind of came about after the office I was working at was shut down and everyone was made redundant. I was a software engineer in Cardiff, working for a large American corporation. We made apps for the iPad that were based around social entertainment. I was on maternity leave at the time too! Since my own wedding almost 4 years ago, I've been obsessed with wedding décor. I thought this was just a faze that would fizzle out after our nuptials but it never did! I saw an opportunity to bring American style wedding linens to the UK and just went for it. I did the market research and as I suspected, so many brides wanted what they were seeing on Pinterest. Describe your style. My personal style is very much minimalistic, clean lines and hotel finish! I love the subtle elegance of a hint of sparkle our beautiful sequin linens give. My inspiration is really two fold. There are a few major linen businesses in the US that I look toward for the hottest trends - they are Wildflower Linen and La Tavola. Imagine show stopping linens paired with clear ghost chairs. Fabulous and dreamy!! I also love everything Kelly Hoppen. She ruffles my feathers when it comes to interior design. Trend setter or trend follower? And what would you like to see next?

We believe that our wonderful Gilded Collection, provides something for every taste. For now we are trend followers but we have big ideas for the future! In terms of what I'd like to see next? I'd love to start offering my brides the strong graphic print linens - think Moroccan tile prints that have been so über cool in home décor this past year. I'd love to start filtering those looks through into 2014/2015 wedding looks. I think we need to start embracing these exciting fabrics instead of shying away!

Describe your couples. What are they looking for? Our couples are definitely on trend, very savvy with Pinterest and demand something different to set them apart from the mundane. We provide complimentary help with a bride's mood board to get them the wedding reception look they desire. We are also very flexible, so if a bride panics and suddenly changes her mind on a colour, we are very accommodating. It's not a problem! What's your favourite linen - and what advice would you give couples choosing theirs? My favourite linen has to be the sequins - so elegant and subtle but a real centrepiece to an occasion. The best advice I can give is to consider both your colour palette and your centrepieces. Will the linens work with those - less is more. If the sequin tablecloth looks too heavy with your centrepieces then perhaps opt for a layered table runner. Layering is fabulous and it will still make an impact! What's your next challenge? The next challenge is to grow our business and our Gilded Collection. We love what we do and we love our brides - we want to make sure we offer the best service available.
