So, I'm sure we have all heard of the awesome idea of having a cigar station set up at the reception ... such a great thing for the men to enjoy! But, have we all heard of a perfume lounge or station for the ladies!!?? I know that I hadn't! I loved this submission from Michelle Garibay Events so much that I split it into 2 parts ... this is part 2! If you missed part 1 ... click here!

Write-up by Michelle of Michelle Garibay Events:

The inspiration for this shoot came from connecting with Regina Rodrigues and her fabulous pieces at Jake Duke a few months ago. Her collections are amazing and it took no time at all for me to ask to collaborate on a shoot together with her furniture as the star of the show! I fell in love with her elegant vintage mirrored tables and dark gray settee and was immediately drawn to the radiant orchid color as the focus for the florals. I wanted to create a sensuous setting, fitting for a sophisticated couple. All too often Temecula gets pegged for only being able to produce "rustic" or "winery" styled weddings and I wanted to completely break free of that to give a snapshot of what new generation of professionals in the area are capable of.

I jumped on getting my A-List team of Temecula professionals on board including Leah, Jen and Sheila of Soiree, Domenica, and Jamie of Elyse Reuben. We love working together and really complement each other's talents. We had such a fun and creatively rewarding day together! Leah suggested we shoot at The Humphrey's Estate and it was the perfect backdrop. The lush setting and charming character that the estate offers allowed us to create the different vignettes that showcased just a few of the venue's unique features - the feminine perfume lounge, the indulgent cigar lounge in the cave and the intimate table design in the garden.

For the table design, I wanted elegance, sparkles and visual drama - my favorite elements. The bold punches of purple and fuchsia looked amazing against the muted gray furniture and I tied the colors into the stemless glasses and the fun sequin bands around the napkins. One of my favorite pieces, however, were Jake Duke's chargers and plates. They have flourished edges and crowns at the top which added a regal touch. I also like décor pieces that draw your eye up, so Regina's team added the geometric glass orbs for an unexpected detail.

The radiant orchid color is slated to be the hot color of 2014 and it is truly versatile. From feminine and edgy, to contemporary or vintage, this will be one color that will appeal to a wide arrange of brides.
