Quirky & Fun London Leopard Print Wedding | Whimsical Wonderland Weddings

via

WWW readers Edwina and Martin married back in October 2013. They wanted a London city wedding with great food and quirky touches.

Edwina donned a fun 1950s inspired dress from Vivien of Holloway, which she teamed with leopard print shoes. Martin donned his ceremonial uniform while the bridesmaids wore vintage feel leopard print and black dresses.

There were some brilliant touches from the rose bouquets, to the pumpkins and leopard print cake and they kept to a £7000 budget. Amazing.

Thanks so much to Light & Stories Photography for sharing their lovely photographs with us today.

The wedding was planned in only 6 months. Working away from each other with a separation of 200 miles really wasn't easy. Many of the plans were agreed over the phone, and with our ideas being quite unique, it took a lot of shopping around! Edwina came across The Londesborough online (incidentally on whimsical wonderland weddings!) and sent me a link, after trawling through so many 'OK' venues prior to that, there was just something about this one! We went for a meal and decided then and there, that this would be the place. This pub has such a great character and energy about it, almost as if it was designed with the sole purpose of taking centre stage and entertaining, and the food, well that was just incredible!

My dad walked me up the aisle to: The Crystals: "(Today I met) the boy I'm Gonna Marry" City and Colour: "Thirst", was the song we walked down the aisle to as husband and wife, as it always reminds us of our other happiest day, when we got engaged!

All in all, by doing much of the work together in the days leading up to the wedding, we made our day a huge success.

Edwina: Stick to your budget and shop around! Agree on everything before you make an idea a reality, so then you really feel the day is an accurate reflection of both your personalities and genuinely what you both want.
