Hello my loves! Today I'm thrilled to finally be able to share the images from an incredibly beautiful shoot I was lucky to work on last year with photographer Fiona Kelly and a team of top wedding professionals. Embracing the current trend for bridal boudoir, we wanted to showcase the emotion, beauty and feelings of a bride on her wedding day inspired by romantic work of one of my photography idols, Elizabeth Messina. Read more about my thoughts on boudoir here and here.

The romantic palette of muted pastels, blush, ivory and sage green resulted in timeless effect that worked beautifully with the pretty interiors of our venue, The George in Rye, and created the creamy, ethereal quality we were looking to achieve. I selected a range of lingerie from Ell & Cee, a perennial favourite with brides for their romantic, sensual designs. Each piece is made from luxurious silks & chiffons all beautifully designed and hand-embellished. These were simply accessorised with the most classic of bridal accessories - the veil - in the lightest silk tulle and edged with antique lace from Kelly Spence.

Our gorgeous model Chloe's peachy pixie cut brings an edgy vibe to the romantic look. Sev, from The Hepburn Collection, worked his magic with his favourite 'Milkshake' products - using Liquid Designer on wet hair before blow drying a soft, tousled style and finishing with Sticky Paste for texture and volume. Makeup artist Mariam Jensen created a flawless base with a dewy finish, picking antique rose colours for the eyes and lip with a soft blush to highlight the cheeks, a natural look for the boudoir shots.

The floral design was key to the styling, so I was thrilled to discover the relaxed and romantic work of Benjamina at In Deco Flowers. She created arrangements with the perfect balance of whimsy & romance, and a gentle nod to the current antique botanicals trend. The combination trailing foliage with dusky pink piano roses, blush hydrangea and rusty antique rancunculus adds a beautiful mix of texture into the mix. She also created a delicate hydrangea backdrop for the boudoir shots, picking up the muted colours and painterly effect of the décor.

I incorporated antique crockery, cut glass and lace details to add pretty, vintage-inspired touches without being over the top, and add to the elegant feel of the entire shoot. Little details, like the rose place setting and gold cutlery just add to the overall sense of romance. The cake, designed by Cakes by Krishanthi, was designed to compliment the blooms and soft pastel tones captured in the boudoir feel with a bow inspired by lacy lingerie.

Faith Caton-Barber designed a dress with a gentle fishtail silhouette especially for the shoot, using a soft pink silk and trimmed with cream silk ruffles to create a feminine, romantic and elegant look. We paired this with delicate accessories from Connie & Dolly and Emmy Shoes in soft blush colours and a touch of understated sparkle. For the evening look, Sev played with the hair to add a rock-chick vibe and Mariam pumped up the colour on the make up with a bold coral lip, stronger eye make up and a overall more chiselled look.

A huge thank you goes out to the amazing team that brought my vision to life. I'm extremely excited to let you know this shoot has been published in You & Your Wedding Magazine and on Rock My Wedding, check them out for more images and info!
