A Rustic Meets Modern Los Angeles Wedding: Lindsey + Will

Lindsey + Will are both artists by trade and their work has taken the lead in their adventures together thus far. It brought them together, it was the reason they moved from Texas to Los Angeles and it played a big part in their rustic-meets-modern Los Angeles wedding. The clean lined, greenhouse-like feel of their venue, Elysian, set a fun, playful tone for the day and provided the perfect environment for Lindsey + Will to incorporate a slew of handmade details that helped tell their guests their story. And I love the relaxed approach they took when it came to planning. Here’s a bit more about that from Lindsey:
Will and I are a very laid back couple and rarely are we formal. We don’t stick to too many traditions, in fact the only tradition we kept for our wedding was we didn’t want to see each other the entire day before the ceremony. The rest we made up as we went along. What was most important to us, was that we threw a great party, where a wedding also happened to take place. The typical wedding decor and demeanor just isn’t our style, so we aimed for an artsy, rustic, and whimsical affair with good music, things to play with, a mountain of BBQ, and plenty to drink.
Big thanks to Jessica M. Wood Photography for sharing these gorgeous images with us today + congratulations to Lindsey + Will!
The pops of berry red throughout the bridal party attire (and wedding design) was a really lovely choice. It looks so great with their otherwise neutral color palette.
Love Lindsey’s boho flower crown by Ellamah!
And I’m just a little bit obsessed with the adorable place settings! The striped cutlery bags are the cutest!
After we were announced for our grand entrance, we sat in front of everyone at our sweetheart table. We couldn't stop remarking on how everything turned out just as we had imagined it. On top of that, there didn't seem to be one person that wasn't talking to another person - we had pulled it off! We were relieved, in love, and ready to enjoy our first party as husband and wife.

Be true to yourself. Don't doubt yourself or your ideas. Be sure to choose things that you truly enjoy and that reflect you. Your guests will love anything you pick because you will be giving them a glimpse inside your world. Most importantly, have fun, and I mean SO much fun! This is your celebration!
