Tuesday Tutorial: Rebecca Minkoff Spring 2014 Nails

Although New York Fashion Week has now come and gone, something accompanying the runway has left a lasting impression on us – the nails. While we may not be able to rock our favorite designers' Spring collections any time soon, we can absolutely channel their style through our tips right now. First up, one of our favorite manicures from the shows: Rebecca Minkoff.

Playful, bold, and reminiscent of Frida Kahlo, the manicures at Rebecca Minkoff are perfect to try now while the weather is still warm and we’re feeling festive! Plus, the Day of the Dead-inspired designs are easy to create at home and give us a twinge of Art Deco mastery in just four steps.

Polish on two coats of essie Tart Deco. Let dry. Use essie Blanc create the base of your design. These will be the skulls and a few accents. Then using a dotting tool and essie Butler Please and Licorice fill in the mouth and eyes of your skulls and add a bit of dotted flair around the decorated nails. Polish on a top coat and daydream about your next Minkoff purchase while your tips dry.

What was your favorite NYFW nail look? Tell us below and we may just do a tutorial!
