Here at FAB we find that the destination bride often does things a little differently. When it comes to shoes we’ve seen a great array of glamourous flats worn by brides- when I first came across this trend I admit that the thought didn’t appeal to me. But it’s actually a great way to look casually elegant, especially for a beach bride (plus it’s a little hard to navigate heels in sand!) We’ve picked a few of our favourites for you today. Be warned: some of these don’t come with a lesser price tag just because they are flats! But don’t worry, there are a few reasonably-priced ones too.

I want to add in my new obsession, the sandals below. I got them to wear at my rehearsal dinner but think they would be so pretty for a beach wedding too. The subtle silver sparkle is just beautiful up close and they’re super comfy! I love that they have a bit of a heel as well.

In case you missed any of the goings-on here during the week, here’s our recap! We drilled some life into Monday this week with our tried and tested tips on avoiding jet lag when flying to your destination wedding. Tuesday we took a trip to the Mediterranean for a beautiful intimate destination wedding in Italy- check out the gorgeous warm light! We got over the hump on Wednesday with these fun Croatian wedding traditions (if your groom proposed with a piece of fruit instead of a ring, would you say yes?!) Finally yesterday we travelled further south for this Mykonos island destination wedding, where the clouds that overhung the ceremony eventually broke through to a perfect blue sky… Which is what we hope you have this weekend, wherever you are!
