Rustic Rococco Wedding Ideas

Rustic Rococco Wedding Ideas

This afternoon is all about rustic glamorous wedding ideas. The shoot was inspired by the court of King Louis the fifteenth century using rich colours and the beautiful backdrop of Godwick Great Barn.

I adore the incredible flower arrangements, beautiful cake creations and the whole styling of this shoot. I love the whole atmosphere the brilliant team created.

Thanks so much to the wonderful Amy Lewin for sharing her images with us today.

“Tuesday the 28th May 2013 the day we will all remember as the day that all the preparation saw the light of day and ideas became reality……..The Rustic Rococco themed shoot at the wonderful location of Godwick Great Barn a grade 2 listed barn in the heart of the Norfolk countryside was born.

The process began some months prior with an idea to use local professionals to promote our businesses and at the same time get some valuable photographs which cold be used by ourselves.

The design process was the vision of Sharon Pointen from Flower30 and she used the key themes of rich deep colours and an opulent period of history, the court of King Louis the fifteenth coupled with the exposed brickwork and rustic textures showing that a country wedding can be a very flexible way to express your desired look.

When Sharon was asked which person she had as the vision for the shoot it was Helena Bonham Carter as she was in the Harry Potter Films, as to this end the effect she has produced is in that vein.

The end theme could not have been completed without the skilled hair and makeup artists, Kirsty Jones-Hanford and Georgina Suzanne Revell, that helped create the vision that Sharon had in mind and accomplished this with stunning results; this matched with the fabulous wedding dresses from Sophie and Smith and jewellery from Melissa Morgan, the provision of 2 fabulous wedding cakes from Sassa’s Cakes to completed the desired look, all this would have not been possible without the 2 models Lydia Brotherhood and Georgie McEwan to whom we all own a big thank you.

The end results were then styled by Sharon and photographed by Amy Lewin who had the task of capturing the vision and showing all the various professionals work off in the best possible way.”
